Clothing is an important pack of your packing essentials, especially when traveling to India. Westerners are used to the
cold climate. Though they may find the warm weather soothing, it can also get a bit distracting. The new weather can make
you feel uncomfortable. For the clothing basics, here are some tips:
What male travelers in India should wear
A lot of travelers are seen wearing shorts, especially in warmer countries. In India, however, it's better to use cotton
trousers to protect you. Especially when staying outdoors, you'd want to be protected from bugs and bites. Basically, you
want to pack in two pairs of shorts, long pants, and about 5 comfortable shirts. You should also include some casual wear in
case you'll be invited for a formal dinner or will be visiting an establishment. You don't need to pack so much as you can
always buy some clothing there. If you want, you can even blend in with the locals.
What women should wear when traveling to India
Tank tops are not always the best for female travelers in India. As much as possible, women would want to bring some
comfortable but more decent clothing. They can wear cotton skirts or trousers. They should also bring some comfortable
footwear because they'd certainly love to tour around India to shop, dine, and simply imbibe the culture.
Packing list on your Indian vacation
Aside from a set of comfortable clothing, you must also pack some medications, prescribed or over-the-counter, for allergies
and common infections. You'd also want to bring some camera because India is truly an interesting place. If you're here to
explore, you might want to pack lightly and leave some room for some exotic finds you can take home with you.

There are a lot of populated areas in India. If you're from a cool place, you'll either find the warm weather soothing or
get a little bothered by it. To have a worry-free trip to India, it's better to be prepared. See your doctor before you get
on that plane flying far east.
India travelers guide: vaccinations
Travelers are advised to visit their physicians months before their scheduled trip. Consider getting shots or vaccines for
malaria, yellow fever, measles, rabies, and hepatitis. Miles away from home, it would be a real hassle for you if you'll get
yourself ill in a foreign land.
India travel guide: medications
From antibiotics to antihistamine, you must have a medicine kit with you so in case of any allergy attack or infection,
you'll get yourself treated right away. Also bring a prescribed medicine if suffering from a health condition that requires
maintenance. To be safe, bring the prescription with you. Make sure that prescribed medicine or over-the-counter drug won't
cause any trouble with you getting access to the country.
Safety tips when traveling to India
Get yourself your own map. Some places in India are populated, and you can easily get lost. Make sure that your travel
documents are secured along with your credit cards. Be careful when dealing with the locals. Try not to offend them. What
you can do is to learn a little bit more about their basic customs and tradition.
